Before applying for housing with Hunter College, please review the following carefully:
• Read though Hunter's Housing FAQs: https://tinyurl.com/HunterHousing26-27
• Applicants must be currently enrolled or officially admitted to Hunter College. Newly admitted students do not need to be committed at the time of application; however, they must commit to Hunter College if offered housing. Do not continue this application if you have not been admitted.
• Housing is limited and not guaranteed for all applicants. Submitting an application does not ensure placement, and priority housing consideration does not automatically equate to a housing offer. Scholars who receive priority consideration for housing must follow all application procedures and timelines. Priority consideration does not equate 1st choice in housing.
• Housing is not assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Offers are made based on availability, institutional priorities, and housing allocations.
• Housing should not be the determining factor in a student’s decision to attend Hunter College as housing is limited and not guaranteed.
• Students offered housing will receive one offer to one location and should be prepared for a shared living environment.
• Housing is offered for the full academic year (August–May) only. Students participating in Education Abroad programs or Winter Graduates may be eligible for semester-based housing.
• Students who accept housing are financially responsible for the full agreement period.
• Housing is not guaranteed for all years of enrollment, and students must reapply annually to be considered.
• Your Housing Plan selected on FAFSA does not transfer over to Hunter's housing, and you must directly apply with Hunter for housing to be considered. Your FAFSA selection has no impact on whether you receive housing through Hunter, nor do we have that data.
